My construction career began at age of 21 when I worked as a mason laborer and progressed a short time after to custom wood fence installation where I was as a foreman running a crew of three. From fences I moved on to framing with a commercial carpenter crew building single family homes, townhouses, and larger retirement communities.

While framing full time, I began doing additional work in the off hours. Starting with decks I eventually progressed to small additions, garages, and then complete homes when F.H. Wood Construction Inc. was established in 1989.

In the fall of 2004 I managed to find time in from a busy schedule to build my own dream home overlooking Keuka Lake. A vacation style home known as a chalet it stands alone on 12 acres of property where you can find remnants of a once thriving vineyard along with deep ravines and rich woodlands and a breath taking view of the lake.
